A panel titled “Can You Believe It? Truth and Lies in Journalism” was moderated by Professor Garlock. Four authors who have written books about journalism discussed the current state of the news industry. The participants discussed the role of Judith Miller in the leak of the identity of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative Valerie Wilson and whether the public should believe what they read. Following their discussion, the panelists responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
