On the anniversary of President Lincoln’s birth, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The groundbreaking itself was shown briefly, followed by a ceremony and speeches in the National City Bank building. Music was provided by the Union Baptist Church Choir and the Springfield Children’s Choir. Ms. Payne served as master of ceremonies. close
