Former Ambassador John Kenneth Galbraith talked about his new book Letters to Kennedy published by Harvard University Press. Mr. Galbraith’s book contains a compilation of letters the author wrote to President Kennedy during Mr. Galbraith’s service as an adviser to the president on economics, foreign affairs and politics. Mr. Galbraith also served as ambassador to India and offered observations on southeast Asia, including many prophetic statements regarding the dangers of relying on the leadership of Diem in Vietnam. After his remarks, Professor Galbraith responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
