The Senate Republican Conference held a hearing on tort reform. They talked about measures to lower the numbers of lawsuits brought, general reforms to the judicial system, and ensuring that job creation is not hindered by excessive lawsuits. Phillip Howard gave a broad overview of reforms needed. Crystal Chodes spoke from the perspective of a victim of lawsuit abuse.
