The issue discussed in this conference is that of the effect that media, and in particular media polls, have upon the campaign strategies of the candidates. Rivers discusses a number of different strategies that a candidate may use to take advantage of the ability of the media to present his message to a large audience. Often, the tactic chosen will depend upon its likelihood of success as defined by polls conducted by the media and the candidates. close
