Responding to the announcement that the Justice Department had filed a lawsuit against tobacco companies for misleading the public about the health effects of smoking, Philip Morris General Counsel Greg Little told reporters that he
would seek an immediate dismissal. He said that the case was groundless and that tobacco companies would not settle the case. Following his remarks he answered questions from the reporters.
