Philippe Sands talked about his book Lawless World: America and the Making and Breaking of Global Rules from FDR’s Atlantic Charter to George W. Bush’s Illegal War, published by Viking. In his book he argued that the current Bush administration, in coalition with Britain, has overturned a world order that was created in order to safeguard international law. The author cited the War on Terror and tortures in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo as examples of unlawful behavior.
