Dr. Edward Miller talked about expansion of health insurance coverage to 32 million newly insured individuals, including 16 million new Medicaid beneficiaries. He outlined Johns Hopkins hospital’s reform efforts, new methods of health care delivery being contemplated, programs to manage a large Medicaid population, and explained how the hospital would train the expanded workforce needed to care for the new patients. Following his remarks he answered questions from the audience. close
