Officials from the United Kingdom’s Department of International Development and the director of Global Programs from the Save the Children organization testified on the country’s response to and spending on the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The British government had committed a $360 million of direct support to help control the spread of the virus and treat individuals affected by the disease.The witnesses answered questions on staffing and training concerns, the spread of the disease, and the status of Ebola treatment centers. close
