Davis Wallis talked about the book he edited Killed Cartoons: Casualties from the War on Free Expression, published by W.W. Norton. He talked about cartoons that were commissoned by newspapers and magazines but did not run because they were determined to be unsuitable for various reasons. Mr. Wallis showed a number of the cartoons included in his book and discussed why they didn’t run. He answered questions from members of the audience at George Mason University’s Fall for the Book Festival in Johnson Center Cinema.

David Wallis is also the editor of Killed: Great Journalism Too Hot to Print, published by Nation Books. close
