Mr. Bernanke also discussed economic growth, economic policy, education, and training. Following his remarks, the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers responded to questions and comments from members of the audience.
Ben Bernanke is considered a possible replacement for Alan Greenspan as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Chairman Greenspan retires from that position in January of 2006.
