Following an introduction by Governor Granholm, Senator Kerry talked about economic policy. Among the issues addressed were tax policy, unemployment, education and job training, health care costs, American competitiveness, and trade agreements. The senator claimed that, if he were elected president, his economic plan would create 10 million new jobs in four years.
