Both counsels in the Kentucky case regarding desegregation in education, Meredith v. Jefferson County Public Schools, spoke about whether race can be used in assigning students to K-12 schools in an effort to achieve diversity. Ted Gordon, counsel for Meredith, and Frank Mellen, counsel for the school district, argued the case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court on December 4, 2006. They spoke about the case as well as their experience in front of the U.S. Supreme Court. They also responded to questions from members of the audience.
