Friends, family and former colleagues paid tribute to journalist Michael Kelly, who was killed in Iraq in April 2003. Things Worth Fighting For, published by Penguin Press, is a collection of Mr. Kelly’s writings, taken from publications such as the New Republic, the New Yorker, and the Washington Post. The essays, presented in chronological order, cover a variety of topics, including war, domestic culture, and politics. Mr. Bradley read from the introduction to the book and other works as he introduced the speakers. The speakers reminisced about Mr. Kelly and read excerpts from the book. close
