The report “GulfGov Report One Year Later” was released at the New Orleans Media Center in the Sheraton New Orleans. “GulfGov Reports” is a three-year study initiated by the Ford Foundation to examine what happened to 22 communities in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama after the devastating 2005 twin hurricanes. The participants reported on the one-year-later results of the comprehensive study of the effects of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita based on close-to-the-ground data collected by a network of field researchers from the Gulf region. They also responded to reporters' questions. close
