Aliza Marcus talked about her book, Blood and Belief: The PKK and the Kurdish Fight for Independence, published by the NYU Press. In her book Aliza Marcus talked about the rise and influence of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Turkey. In their quest for independence, the PKK had waged a war in Turkey since the late 1970s that has left over 40,000 dead.

John Sitilides, a principal at Trilogy Advisors, provided commentary. Panelists responded to questions from the audience. close
