Panelists presented papers at a symposium on the George W. Bush presidency. William Galston presented his paper, “Missed Opportunities: Conflict and Polarization in the Bush Years.” Al Felzenberg spoke on why he believes President Bush is “his own worst enemy.” Topics included President Bush’s negotiating style, legacy, leadership skills, and intellect, and comparisons of President Bush to Presidents Reagan and Clinton. Robert Maranto and Catherine Warrick made follow up comments, and then, panel members responded to audience members' questions.
