In the first segment, Mr. Ignatius talked about current news headlines and the presidential campaign among other issues. In the next segment, Ms. Ridings talked about how the Commission on Presidential Debates determines who should participate in the debates. In the newspaper roundtable, Mr. De Borchgrave and Mr. Sifry discussed current events, including the situation in Iraq.
