Four candidates for governor debated one another at the College of New Jersey. The candidates discussed numerous topics, but primarily focused on political corruption. Doug Forrester questioned Senator Corzine about his association with former Governor James McGreevey, who resigned amid a gay sex scandal last year. Senator Corzine in turn asked Mr. Forrester about campaign donations made to Burlington County Republicans.

This was the third debate of the campaign and first for third party contestants as Dr. Castillo and Mr. Pawlowski were introduced to the debates.

Jim Gardner and Diana Williams moderated the debate. The panelists were Herb Jackson from The Record, Deborah Howlett from The Star Ledger, and Leonard Fleming from the Philadelphia Inquirer. Students also had an opportunity to ask questions. The debate was held at the College of New Jersey before a small audience. Coverage was provided by courtesy of WPVI-TV, Philadelphia.
