The theme for this Millennium Program event is "Honor the Past,

Imagine the Future," as stated by Mrs. Clinton. President Clinton

talked about celebrating the new millennium and preparing for it by

making life better for our children and our children’s children. The

speakers talked about who we are as Americans and who we want to be. Jazz music was performed by Ms. McPartland and Mr. Marsalis. One speaker stated that "jazz is the quintessential voice of
