Ann Finkbeiner talked about her book The Jasons: The Secret History of Science’s Postwar Elite, published by Viking. She explained how, in 1960, the Defense Department secretly assembled a group of scientific scholars to help the U.S. military problem-solve defense, science, and technology matters. They were called “the Jasons.” After her presentation she answered audience members' questions.
