Hans Von Spakovsky talked about the role of the U.S. Supreme Court and the interactions that presidents have had with the Court. Focusing on the health care issues currently before the Court, he was critical of President Obama’s recent remarks that it would be “unprecedented, extraordinary” for the Supreme Court to overturn the health care law and pointed out how they were hypocritical. He also criticized the misuse by Democrats of the term “judicial activism.” He responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.

Video clips were shown of President Obama’s remarks at a news conference on April 2, 2012, and at the American Society of News Editors conference on April 3, 2012. A video clip was also shown of remarks by then-President George W. Bush at a Federalist Society convention on November 15, 2007. close
