A special program examined a developing nation in West Africa, including its people, politics, economy, and relations with the U.S. The program featured video of interviews with Ghanaian journalists, members of Parliament, U.S. aid workers, and Ghanaians living in Washington, DC.

Videotapes also featured a Peace Corps volunteer describing education in Ghana; Mr. Archer describing transportation, housing, and commerce; subsistence farming and fishing; a U.S. businesswoman in Ghana describing challenges for foreign investors.

In the last segment Ms. Frazer and Minister of Energy Nduom answered viewer questions in an hour-long call-in. Minister Nduom talked about the current state of the economy and politics in Ghana, development, trade, aid, foreign investment, and the effect of U.S. policy. Ms. Frazer provided the U.S. administration’s perspective on Ghana and addressed audience questions related to U.S. trade, aid, investment, military cooperation. close
