Natan Sharansky talked about not only the current state of Israeli political affairs (with the current call to have Prime Minister Ehud Olmert step down from office), but also his new book Defending Identity: Its Indispensable Role in Protecting Democracy. The book argues that a country is only as strong as its commitment to its identity and that strongest countries have their identity based in democracy and freedom.
