Ambassador Meridor spoke about recent conflict in Gaza and Israeli military attacks against Hamas targets. He focused on the need to respond with overwhelming force to Hamas rocket attacks launched from Gaza into Israel in order to “create conditions for a new reality for both” Israelis and Palestinians that could lead to peace. He also said that Hamas had deliberately targeted civilians. Following his statement he answered questions from reporters at the National Press Club. close
