Patrick Byrne talked about efforts to impose sales taxes on items sold over the Internet. He claimed those taxes would be unfair to Internet based companies because they did not use local services. He also talked about other economic issues, including a process called “naked short selling” which hurts businesses for the benefit of stock speculators. He also talked about his his involvement in education issues, especially abroad. Mr. Byrne responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. close
