Patrick Byrne, Gautham Nagesh, Scott Peterson talked about the issue of taxing goods sold over the Internet. California began taxing these sales in July 2011, and at least 15 other states do so already or are considering doing so. In Congress, Senators Durbin and Enzi are working on legislation that would require retailers who sell on the Internet to collect sales taxes.
