Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, former Archbishop of Washington, talked about a partnership of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Americans who oppose terrorism.

During the luncheon, the Fiqh Council of North America will present a fatwa, or religious edict, against terrorism and declaring that it is Muslims' duty to help prevent terrorism directed at Americans. Imam Muzammil Siddiqi will read the fatwa. 

Right Reverend Samuel T. Lloyd and Rabbi Jack A. Luxemburg, Temple Beth Ami, Rockville, Maryland together read the Proclamation. 

Cardinal McCarrick, who since his retirement has been a special envoy for Pope Benedict XVI, responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.
