Lou Dobbs talked about his book, Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit, published by Viking Adult. In his book Lou Dobbs had contended that the U.S. government had become unresponsive to the populace and more interested in the demands of business than its constituents. Mr. Dobbs uncovered tales of partisanship, unfathomable plunges into debt, the ramifications of cheap labor, and misplaced responsibilities. He urged all Americans to “live every day as independents day.”

Joseph Pascal, president of the Oxonian Society, moderated the event and provided commentary. Mr. Dobbs responded to questions from the audience following his remarks. close
