In the first of several discussions at a day-long event titled, "Can We Put Poor Men to Work?", panelists focused on employment for men in poverty. They focused on low-skilled workers, particularly those who typically defaulted on child support and ex-offenders on parole. 

Panelists talked about child support programs involving fathers as an alternative to court proceedings and possible imprisonment. They answered questions from the audience.
