Professor Gordon Hanson talked about the economic and social factors that influence the flow of illegal migrants from Mexico. He also discussed evidence on the effectiveness of policies that regulate the cross-border flow of illegal migrants and their access to U.S. jobs. Professor Winters commented on Professor Hanson’s theories. Both men responded to audience members' questions. Mr. Davis served as moderator. 

Professor Winters is on leave from the University of Sussex where he teaches economics.
