Following the Pledge of Allegiance and an invocation, Mr. McManus talked about illegal immigration with emphasis on California, U.S. Supreme Court decisions, and ignoring Article IV, Section IV of the U.S. Constitution which says the U.S. shall protect each state from invasion. He argued that the illegal “invaders” from Mexico do not respect U.S. laws, do not learn English, and make up approximately 30 percent of federal prison inmates that have committed violent crimes. He also criticized their use of fraudulent identification papers and called for the elimination of amnesty portions of proposed legislation and the strengthening of the U.S. Border Patrol. After his presentation Mr. McManus answered audience members' questions. close
