Students from the University of Denver (CO) participated by video feed in a distance learning class. Mr. Boaz talked to the students about the expansion of federal government and libertarian ideology. Steve Scully moderated the class and students asked questions.

Several clips from prior programs and news footage were shown. The program contained archival footage from President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s 1933 inaugural address, President Richard Nixon at the 1968 Republican National Convention, President Ronald Reagan’s 1981 inaugural address, President Clinton’s 1996 State of the Union Address, and speeches by President George W. Bush.

David Boaz is the author of Libertarianism: A Primer, published by Free Press. He is also the editor of Toward Liberty: The Idea That is Changing the World, published by the Cato Institute.
