The Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Terrorism, Narcotics and International Operations heard testimony on the financial conduct of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, an international institution accused of money laundering, fraud, and supporting international terrorism. Former Director of the Office of Management and Budget Bert Lance testified on BCCI’s involvement with the National Bank of Georgia, an institution with which Mr. Lance was involved, and BCCI bought and controlled. He also testified on the involvement of the CIA in the BCCI affair and said he introduced many of the Americans involved in the BCCI scandal to the Saudi businessmen many consider the center of the BCCI network. close
