Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke spoke to George Washington University students about the Federal Reserve since World War II. Topics included the events that led up to the recent financial collapse. Mr. Bernanke told students the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policies did not contribute to the housing bubble. He also said consumption in the country was still too low, preventing a healthy pace of economic recovery. This was the second of four classes he taught at the school. close
