Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Julius Genachowski talked about where the FCC stands on broadband and the Internet. He focused on ways to keep the Internet free and open, and outlined principles put forth by the FCC to keep the Internet available to everyone. In his remarks he said the FCC would require that network operators reveal how they manage their network, and that broadband providers cannot discriminate against particular Internet content or applications.
Following Mr. Genchowski's remarks, a panel of industry experts discussed his speech and improving broadband access in the U.S.
