International intelligence analysts talked about audio recordings of

Saddam Hussein talking with his cabinet about weapons of mass destruction to be used against the U.S. by terrorists. The tapes are of eight meetings and cover approximately 1992 to 2002. The tapes also describe the deception of United Nations weapons inspection teams. Topics included the Russians helping Saddam hide nuclear weapons in Syria, the accuracy of the translations, the use of foreign countries to help construct weapons, and an Iraqi terrorism training center.

Mr. Bodansky was the director of the Congressional Task Force on Counterterrorism. close
