Republican 2012 presidential candidate Jon Huntsman announced that he was withdrawing from the race, and endorsed Mitt Romney. In his remarks he said that the Republican primary had become too negative and personal, and he challenged the remaining candidates to focus on the issues and defeating President Obama.
