President Ford then asked him to join his White House and document his presidency. At the time, Mr. Kennerly was only in his twenties, even though he was already a veteran Vietnam combat photographer and a Pulitzer Prize winner. Other topics included the assassination of Senator Robert Kennedy and his service in Vietnam.
