President Obama spoke about the future of the U.S. space program. In his remarks he explained his decision to eliminate plans for a new manned moon mission, and called for a restructuring of space exploration programs. He said that his program would include a manned mission to an asteroid and eventual manned mission to Mars. He also proposed expanded funding to develop Florida’s Space Coast as a hub of technological and business innovation. close
