House Speaker Boehner gave his weekly legislative briefing. In his comment he said Congress needs to start talking again about the debt ceiling, calling the debt and deficit a “wet blanket” over the U.S. economy. He also spoke about the next steps for the Violence Against Women legislation that passed the House, despite a veto threat from President Obama.
