Speaker John Boehner spoke to reporters and answered questions about a number of issues. He said no progress had been made between the White House and congressional leadership in negotiations to avoid the “fiscal cliff.” He also said that House Republicans had agreed to consider increased tax revenue, but they had not yet heard what kind of spending cuts the Obama administration would accept in return.
