Maynard Horiuchi was interviewed. Her husband Lucius Horiuchi grew up in Seattle, Washington, and was relocated to Minidoka War Relocation Center in Idaho during World War II. After the war Mr. Horiuchi joined the foreign service and married Maynard Cooke, the daughter of a U.S. admiral. Mrs. Horiuchi talked about her life in a naval family and then a diplomatic family.
