First Lady Laura Bush delivered the keynote address at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum’s annual Days of Remembrance observance in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Allied Commander during World War II will also delivered remarks. This observance paid special tribute to U.S. liberators, a number of whom were in attendance. It also marked the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi concentration camps in Western Europe by U.S. and Allied troops. close
