Kinky Friedman talked about his book Texas Hold 'Em: How I Was Born in a Manger, Died in the Saddle, and Came Back as a Horny Toad, published by St. Martin’s Press. The book is a collection of essays that includes humorous profiles of famous Texans and discusses how life in Texas has changed in the last century. Mr. Friedman talked about his intention to run for Texas governor in 2006 and how he would address the state’s problems. He also read some passages from his book. Mr. Friedman, also a country musician, was joined by Little Jewford, a former band mate and a business partner.
