Thomas M. Hoenig made the keynote address at a forum on the implementation of the 2010 financial regulations law. He said that companies deemed as systemically important financial institutions (SIFI), or “too big to fail,” "are fundamentally inconsistent with capitalism." He further said that SIFI are “inherently destabilizing to global markets and detrimental to world growth.” close
