Earlier in the week, The Boston Globe ran an article charging author and historian Joseph Ellis, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award, with lying to his students at Mount Holyoke College about his service in Vietnam. Professor Ellis has subsequently apologized. Mr. Robinson, the journalist who wrote the Boston Globe story, spoke from Boston. He responded to audience telephone calls, faxes, and electronic mail, including calls from two of Professor Ellis' students. close
