Journalist and biographer Lou Cannon discussed his latest book on Reagan'>Ronald Reagan, titled Reagan'>Governor Reagan: His Rise to Power, and published by PublicAffairs. The book recounted the former president’s two terms as governor of California, based on interviews with former staff members, cabinet meeting minutes, and other research. The book traced Reagan’s development from political novice to master politician. Mr. Cannon also examined the policies Reagan initiated while in office and his failed 1968 presidential campaign. Following his presentation, Mr. Cannon responded to questions from the audience. close
