Janine Turner talked about her book Holding Her Head High: 12 Single Mothers Who Championed Their Children and Changed History, published by Thomas Nelson. The book is about the contributions that single mothers have made to society. Janine Turner, herself a single mother, described the social implications for women and children from the Roman Empire through the Middle Ages to Pioneer days. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions.
This was an event of the Conservative Women’s Network, a monthly luncheon meeting hosted at The Heritage Foundation with the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute.
