Witnesses testified about alleged financial mismanagement and fraud that led to the financial collapse of the HealthSouth Corporation, as well as their knowledge of the business practices of the company. The hearings came the day after former Chief Executive Officer Richard Scrushy was indicted by federal prosecutors for 85 counts of fraud.
